the happiest autographs on earth!

custom projects / new products - 3 months ago - katrina

:)

We’re only two days away from the big craft fair this weekend, and today I’m going to introduce you all new product that started as one of my personal projects. About a month ago, my family took a trip to Disney World. On our last vacation there, my children had become fascinated with the autograph books they saw other kids carrying around, and so I wanted to make them keepsake books to take with us this time. Borrowing from the basic idea behind my paper bag albums, I contructed this book… and it was a big hit!

The Kate Paper Disney Autograph and Photo album.

I really love the details in this title piece.

Inside pages leave space for autographs and photos.

(But after having to do tons of funky cropping, I decided bigger picture spaces were a good thing!)

So that the book isn’t too bulky, every *other* page is embellished with layered chipboard stickers.

Isn’t it cute? By making the base of the book out of paper bags, the book has tons of space for tucking in maps, journaling, extra pictures, and all the little bits and pieces of ephemera that kids tend to collect at Disney World (or pretty much anywhere they go). Also, once you get home, it is super easy to put together… just print your character pictures to 4″x3″ (two to a standard sized print), cut, and stick. Voila! Your vacation album is complete.

Available now, in the shop.

greeting card goodies

new products - 3 months ago - katrina

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I’ve been a busy bee today getting ready for this weekend, so today’s post is going to be a quick look at something new… Kate Paper greeting cards. Let’s peek at just a couple of my favorites:

I’m a big fan of doing nice things “just because.” This would make a perfect “just because.”

The colors of this card remind me of an old-fashioned ice cream parlour.

Yes, it’s a pun. And puns are terrible. But this is a funny pun. A pun-ny pun. :)

I think this card may be my favorite… I absolutely love the mix of patterns!

Find all these cards and more in the shop. Who will you send one to?

take a look in a book

new products - 3 months ago - katrina

Hi everyone!

I’m going to continue this week’s showcase of new products by introducing you to my embellished composition books. These pretty notebooks come in two sizes – the more usual “standard” school size which is about 7.5″ by 9.75″ and a cute “mini” size that measures 3.25″ by 4.5″. Each one is covered front and back, and all the inside pages are lined white paper. You could take them to school or work for general notetaking, use them as a home journal, or perhaps a unique smashbook. Fill them with magazine clippings, doodles, recipes, notes, pictures, decorating ideas… the sky’s the limit!

I’ll share a few. The Flower Child Notebook:

TTYL Notebook:

Summer Story Mini-Notebook:

If I had to pick a favorite, I’d start with the Flutterby Notebook.

Or maybe her little sister:

I just love the colors, and the details that are feminine without being overly girly.

These books and more are now available in the shop. What would you use them for?

bright, shiny, and new

new products - 3 months ago - katrina

After some (very frustrating, totally not my fault) technical difficulties, I have finally been able to get some more of the new products uploaded into the shop. Yay! As I mentioned earlier, I have a big show coming up this weekend, so this week I want to give you all a tour of just *some* of what you will see there. (Or, for those of you who won’t be able to make it, a looky-loo at what’s coming soon/new in the shop.)

I’ll start with what have to be my most popular products: the clothespin magnets. These little pretties get the *most* attention at each and every one of my shows. (For those of you on Pinterest, they are also my most-pinned product.) I have bunches of new designs to debut this week.

These reminded me of one of my favorite films, Breakfast at Tiffany’s , – of course, I named them Audrey:

I’ve also made a more ‘playful’ set, Alex. Who doesn’t love penguins?

For the more hearts and flowers “girl-y” girl… Laurie.

Of course, I can’t neglect the boys – hello, James.

Last, but not least… I think these may be my favorites today. Jen.

You’ll find all these styles and more in the shop. Which are your favorites?

for the little guy

new products - 4 months ago - katrina

As a mommy to a little boy, I can sympathize with moms who bemoan the lack of “cute” baby boy things. It can be tough sometimes to find “boy stuff” when it seems like you are surrounded by flowers and fairies and bows everywhere you turn. So today, let me share this with you: the “Sweet Baby Boy” Paper Bag Book.

I love the friendly-looking animals on the cover. :)

Tabs and pull-out pages add so much extra space. It makes an excellent purse-size brag book.

Write your name on the back, and mommy-to-be will always remember your baby shower gift.

It’s available now, in the shop.

babies, babies

new products - 4 months ago - katrina

With the happy news that I’m going to get to be an aunt *twice* more in 2012, it goes without saying that I have babies on the brain. How appropriate, then, is this new Kate Paper book?

Hello “Sweet Baby Girl.”

We all know I *heart* pretty papers… each of the inner pages of this book is a different fun pattern!

I also *love* pockets. And pockets with cute tabs and room for extra pictures? are awesome. :)

The “Sweet Baby Girl” Paper Bag Album is now available in the shop.

ps. Is the sweet baby in your life a little boy? Check back Friday for a cute alternative. ;)

brand new and beautiful

new products - 4 months ago - katrina

Hi everyone! Happy (belated) new year. In celebration of new beginnings – and a New Year’s Resolution to keep my online shop better stocked that I am *determined* to keep – I’m hoping to get to share lots of brand new products with you all in the coming weeks.

So, without further ado, let me introduce the “YOU” Paper Bag album.

This album is fully-embellished with beautiful layered images of butterflies and botanicals.

There are seven mats in a variety of orientations that would be perfect for wallet-sized photos.

(I love the quote on this page.) Additionally, the album features 12 pull-out pocket pages.

Now available in the shop.
